About High Heels

Heels is a dance style performed in high heels. Rooted in jazz, burlesque and commercial dance, it has evolved into a genre of its own. The movements emphasise body control, lines and attitude. The heels change the body’s posture and demand awareness of balance, foot placement and centre of gravity in every step.

The music ranges from pop and R&B to house and Latin. Heels has grown rapidly in recent years and become one of the most popular styles at dance schools worldwide. The style is about expressing yourself with power and elegance.
