Summer at Medis: Eleven free dance nights at Medborgarplatsen

This summer we take the dance outdoors. USC Studios and the City of Stockholm are hosting eleven free dance nights at Medborgarplatsen. From June through August we fill the square with salsa, bachata, mambo, cha cha cha and reggaeton.

Every evening starts at 17:00 with an open workshop. No experience needed, no partner required. At 18:00 the music takes over. Several nights feature live bands, others run with a DJ. Social dancing goes on until 21:00.

The programme opens on 10 June with a salsa night featuring live band El Ciclón del Son and a workshop led by Carlos Lopez. Throughout the summer we mix salsa and bachata with styles like Rueda de Casino, Salsa On2/Mambo and Cha Cha Cha.

Workshops are led by Carlos Lopez, Arturo Rojas from SSD, Larisa from Bachatea Sweden, Chris and Carolina, Yunier Oviedo and Alberto Anturi from Bailalo. Three of the nights feature live music by Calle Luna feat Lesmer Solenzar.

All events are free and open to everyone. Come as you are, bring friends, family, or come on your own. See you at Medborgarplatsen.
