USC Studios opens at Medborgarhuset

This summer USC Studios opens its doors at Medborgarplatsen. A new dance school for all ages and levels, in the heart of Södermalm.

USC Studios opens in summer 2026 at Medborgarhuset on Medborgarplatsen. The studio will be a new home for dance, creativity and community in the heart of Södermalm.

Classes are open to children, young people and adults. From first-timers to experienced dancers looking to grow their artistic expression. The schedule will include open classes, workshops and collaborations with established choreographers and teachers.

We want USC Studios to be more than a dance studio. A meeting place with creative freedom where every individual can grow on their own terms. We hope to build a community through dance in a safe and warm environment. — Gassan Jaber, founder of USC Studios

One of the teachers at USC Studios is Ray Farias, an international dancer and choreographer with over 15 years of experience in stage productions, teaching and choreography.

As a dancer, the studio has always felt like a second home and my dance friends like family. As a teacher, I want to give my students the same sense of belonging. In my classes we don’t just learn new steps, we also build confidence and a supportive community together. — Ray Farias, dancer and choreographer

The choice of Medborgarhuset is deliberate. The building has been a place for culture, education and community for generations. USC Studios wants to carry that tradition forward. Through dance, the studio aims to strengthen Södermalm as a cultural hub.

More information about the schedule, opening offers and launch activities will follow soon.
